When I located the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) in mid 2022 I came for the costuming, but I have stayed for the scribal! Well the arts and sciences, but scribal in particular.
I had studied Illustration & Design in college in the mid-late 70s, but struggled to find my place in the commercial art world especially since I wasn’t oriented toward advertising.
I have a love of making, having grown up in a craftsman family. I spent hours in both my father’s wood shop and my mother’s weaving studio. I also love research, as a former school librarian, taking a deep dive into a topic or finding just the right refence makes my heart sing.
